NFTs and Amazon Join Forces: Yuga Labs' 'Otherside' Metaverse set for Launch

Yuga Labs has announced that its much-anticipated metaverse game, Otherside, will launch its Koda Nexus—the main social hub—on November 12, 2025.

This open-world platform has been in development since 2022, featuring play tests and experimental game modes to create an engaging, ever-evolving universe.

The Koda Nexus is just the beginning, to be followed by a gaming layer filled with quests and an Otherside Development Kit (ODK) for creators to build within the metaverse.

The launch will receive a significant boost as Otherside will be prominently featured on Amazon Gaming, exposing the metaverse to millions of potential users.

Yuga Labs will also launch a co-branded character named "Boximus" on Amazon, adding a unique purchase opportunity for digital assets.

According to Chief Creative Officer Michael Figge, the integration with Amazon's over 300 million users represents a pivotal moment for digital asset sales.

Additionally, Yuga is collaborating with artist Daniel Arsham on a limited edition collection of 300 pieces that merge fine art with interactive NFTs, showcasing the potential of digital collectibles.

This follows a successful launch last year that generated over $560 million in sales within the first 24 hours, highlighting the immense interest in their metaverse.

While Yuga Labs has strategically diverted its focus from other gaming properties, it remains committed to cultivating the Otherside experience.

With these developments, the partnership between Amazon and Otherside marks a significant step towards mainstream adoption of NFTs and the metaverse.
