The Coruna exploit kit utilizes 23 distinct hacking methods organized into five primary attack chains, showcasing its complexity.

Attackers lure victims through counterfeit websites, often resembling legitimate crypto exchanges, to execute the attack without user awareness.

Once a vulnerable device connects to these malicious sites, the exploit automatically activates, using flaws within the Safari browser to gain access.

Experts indicate that the malware particularly targets popular cryptocurrency apps like MetaMask, seeking out sensitive information such as recovery phrases.

This toolkit's alarming evolution highlights a disturbing trend where advanced cyber weapons, initially intended for espionage, are repurposed for financial crime against individual users.

To protect against such threats, users are advised to update their devices to the latest iOS, which renders the Coruna malware ineffective.
