Coinbase and Circle Unite to Propel USDC Integration on Hyperliquid Ecosystem

In a significant move for the crypto space, Coinbase has officially become the treasury deployer for USDC on the Hyperliquid platform.

This integration is positioned to enhance the efficacy of USDC within Hyperliquid, phasing out the existing USDH stablecoin.

Coinbase plans to utilize its expertise to manage USDC reserves, aligning them as an Aligned Quote Asset under the new AQAv2 system.

Additionally, Circle has stepped in to support the infrastructure change, implementing key tools such as CCTP and cross-chain capabilities.

The partnership aims to streamline reserve yield revenue, with most proceeds benefitting the Hyperliquid protocol.

Coinbase has also confirmed it will continue to operate the Compliant Quote Asset model and support network builders.

As part of this strategic shift, both stakeholders are investing in HYPE tokens, with Coinbase reportedly purchasing approximately 500,000 tokens.

The market has responded positively, with HYPE experiencing a 14% increase in value, now trading at around $44.50.

This momentum follows broader regulatory discussions, including advancements on the CLARITY Act in the Senate.
