South Korea Partners with Ripple: A Game-Changer for Cryptocurrency Regulation

Ripple (XRP) is gaining significant traction in South Korea, following a new partnership with digital asset custodian BDACS.

BDACS has launched an institutional-grade custody service specifically for Ripple, marking an important milestone in their collaboration initiated in February.

Given that XRP is one of the most traded assets in the country, this service enables large institutional investors to access it within a regulated framework.

The infrastructure will utilize Ripple's own custody solution, which is designed to optimize both XRP and Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD.

Additionally, BDACS has integrated with major exchanges like Upbit, Coinone, and Korbit to enhance accessibility for institutional players.

This initiative aligns with the South Korean Financial Services Commission's strategy to foster growth in the digital asset market.

Fiona Murray, Ripple's Asia-Pacific President, commented on the rapidly changing regulatory environment and the rising institutional demand for digital assets.

In a separate announcement, South Korea has also reinforced Ripple's legitimacy by supporting its legal victory against the SEC, which could reshape the regulatory landscape.

This legal win fosters greater confidence among investors, potentially boosting participation in the local market and encouraging innovative blockchain projects.
