DeFi and AI Tokens Surge on Coinbase Listing Announcement
Coinbase has recently announced the addition of an AI-based altcoin, Aethir (ATH), and a DeFi token, Maple Finance (SYRUP), to its listing roadmap, sparking significant price surges for both tokens. The listing roadmap, a transparency tool used by Coinbase, hints at potential support for these tokens, signaling to investors days before official listing. ATH experienced an impressive 36.79% increase in price, climbing from $0.0318 to $0.0435 within just a day after the announcement. SYRUP also saw a notable rise, jumping 40% from $0.137 to $0.193 in the same timeframe. Following these peaks, the prices of ATH and SYRUP have corrected to $0.0371 and $0.165 respectively. Aethir operates as a decentralized cloud computing protocol over Ethereum, enhancing GPU capabilities for AI and blockchain-based gaming. Maple Finance, launched in 2021, is known for its innovative borrowing and lending model which features under-collateralized loans and yield opportunities for lenders.
